Cristiano Ronaldo has broken another two records after he single handedly led Al Nassr to Arab Club Champions Cup title

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s clutch performance in the Arab Club Championship Cup 2023 helped Al Nassr win the title for the first time. Ronaldo has helped the team win their first major prize since joining the club, defeating Al Hilal despite being down to nine men during the game.

The game had to be decided in extra time because the scores were tied at the end of 90 minutes. In the second half, two Al Nassr players, Abdulelah Al-Amri and Nawaf Boushal, were issued red cards on either side of Ronaldo’s goal.

Al Hilal took the lead through Brazil’s Michael before Ronaldo equalized. Al Nassr had to defend tenaciously despite a large numerical disadvantage.

The Portuguese legend was not chosen man of the match despite his performance in the final. The accolade was given to Al Hilal midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who stunned the Portuguese.

In reference to his two goals in the final, the Portuguese footballer was spotted holding up two fingers to the organizers.

What Records Did Cristiano Ronaldo Break?

Ronaldo broke the record for the most headed goals with 145 and was awarded the Arab Club Championship Cup 2023 trophy.

He had to be replaced with five minutes remaining owing to an injury, although it wasn’t serious because he was spotted dancing around during the celebrations.

Another record he claimed has to be the one for the club itself. Al Nassr reached the semi-final of the cup for the first time since 1995, thanks to Ronaldo’s help in the quarterfinal.

After speculation that they are going to sign Neymar this week, Al Hilal will be looking for a turnaround in their fortunes. The Brazilian joins Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, and Kalidou Koulibaly as new European signings.
