These are some facts you need to know about Teemu Pukki

Teemu Pukki (Full Name – Teemu Eino Antero Pukki) is a Finnish striker born on  29 March, 1990 in Kotka, Finland. His father’s name is Tero Pukki and mother is Teija Pukki.

Childhood

Pukki began his football career with HOPS. He then joined the KLP’s youth side squad and made his debut for the first team at the age of 16.

Career

In 2008, Pukki was signed by Sevilla. On 7th December, he was called for his first match against the Real Madrid. He made his debut for the club in La Liga against Racing on 25th January 2009.

On 28th August 2010, Pukki signed a three-and-half-year contract with the Finnish Veikkausliiga club HJK. He made his debut for the club in a match against the IFK Mariehamn.

He netted his first league goal against the FF Jaro. At the end of the season, Pukki won the Finnish Veikkausliiga with a silver medal for his performances.

Pukki also played a key figure in HJK’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifications. He played for Scottish club Celtic, then for the Brondby IF he helped to conquer the 2017-18 Danish Cup.

In 2018, he signed the English Championship club Norwich City on a free transfer on a contract of three-year deal. He made his debut for the Club against Birmingham City.

A week later he netted his first goal for the Club against West Bromwich Albion. He helped the club to conquer the 2018-19 EFL Championship. In 2019 April he was named as an EFL Championship player of the Year.

Teemu was also named as the Norwich City F.C Player of the Season by the Norwich City’s supporters in 2018-19 season.

In 2019, Pukki signed a fresh three-year contract with the Premier League newcomers. He scored the first hat-trick for Norwich City in the PL for the first time since Efan Ekoku did in 1993 against the Everton.

For his performances, he was named the Premier League Player of the Month in August and the PFA Premier League Player of the Month.

Teemu made his debut on 4th February 2009 against Japan in a friendly match against Tokyo. In the 2018-19 UEFA Nations League, Finland was promoted from League C.

Personal Life

In June 2019, Pukki married his long-time girlfriend Krisikka Laurikko in a private ceremony. The couple is blessed with a baby girl whose name hasn’t been known yet.
